This paper aims to explore how youth homelessness can be addressed through the educational system, presenting a series of comprehensive recommendations. Firstly, we emphasize the significance of providing a stable educational environment, including ensuring the continuity of schools and offering temporary accommodation for homeless youth. Secondly, we stress the importance of devising personalized support plans to meet the unique needs of each student, encompassing mental health services, academic tutoring, and career guidance. Meanwhile, to ensure students have sufficient mental and material support, we propose collaboration between the educational system and other social service agencies to collectively provide basic living necessities. The establishment of a community support network is also crucial and requires cooperation with school communities, teachers, peers, and family members. Additionally, we advocate for providing practical vocational training and skill development opportunities for homeless youth to facilitate their integration into society. Regarding learning modalities, we highlight flexibility, including online learning, night schools, and remote education, to accommodate the diverse needs of students. The educational system should also address family issues by collaborating with social service agencies to tackle the root causes of homelessness. Finally, we encourage the educational system to participate in policy formulation and advocacy to secure more resources and support, ensuring that homeless youth receive adequate attention and assistance in education. These measures necessitate close collaboration between the educational system and other relevant fields, emphasizing the training of educators to better meet the unique needs of homeless youth. Through comprehensive cooperation and efforts, the educational system is poised to play a positive role in addressing the issue of youth homelessness.
